The Story

BFB was born from a simple observation: planning a trip to an away game shouldn't mean hours of Googling, endless Reddit threads, and hoping you don't end up somewhere forgettable.

We've all been there — the overpriced spot near the arena, the “highly rated” restaurant that peaked in 2019, the FOMO of finding out after the trip where you should've gone.

The Away Game Playbook does the work so you don't have to. Every Playbook is built to help you skip the research, land better reservations, and eat and drink like a local — not a tourist.

How We Build the Playbook

Every recommendation is locally rooted. No corporate chains. No tourist traps. No pay-to-play. We find the spots locals actually go to — the dive bar near the arena, the restaurant worth the reservation, the neighborhood you didn't know about.

We verify every recommendation. We check hours, menus, reservation platforms, and walking distances. We talk to locals. If it's not worth your time, it's not in the playbook.

Nobody pays to be in our Playbooks. If we recommend a spot, it's because we genuinely think it'll make your trip better.

Why It Matters

The best part of traveling for a game isn't just the game itself — it's the town, neighborhood, and campus around it. The unforgettable meal and drinks the night before the game. The tailgate or pre-game spot where you trade banter and shots with the other fan base. The late-night slice that hits different after a win.

That's the stuff we live for. That's what we build every playbook around.
